Adam Mosseri is the current head of Instagram, a subsidiary of Facebook. Mosseri is an Israeli-American currently based in the United States and has been a Facebook employee for 13 years. He started as a product designer in 2008, leveling up to become the vice president of product management in 2016. He was appointed the head of the Instagram product in May 2018. Adam Mosseri is an alma mater of the New York University. He was born in January 1983. Mosseri was appointed to his current role as the head of Instagram after the photo-sharing app's founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger in September 2018. Mosseri's title "head of Instagram" before from the title of the former leaders since Facebook reserves CEO titles for founders only. Under Mosseri's leadership, Instagram has expanded multifold, incorporating new monetization tools and new features for content creators, keeping abreast with the likes of TikTok and Snapchat. In 2020, Adam Mosseri was listed in the Tech category of Fortune's "40 under 40" list.
